An incredible survivor

The other day I travelled from Malvern to Tewkesbury and passed what looked like on old corrugated iron Church. I was in disbelief as I couldn't understand how such an old and temporary looking structure was still standing. Apparently it is the Coombegreen mission room from 1904!!!. Here is a picture.

There are quite a lot of features in that. I notice the internet describes it as "formerly" the mission room which might suggest it's days are numbered, though it looks like someone is still mowing the grass.

This sort of building is called a tin tabernacle. They must have been sturdily built because there are still quite a lot of them about. Some are listed and msny have been converted to other uses
