Alternatives to Photobucket

I've rather had it with Photobucket. It's so polluted with advertising, it's either unbelievably slow or simply seizes up. This morning I spent over an hour trying to upload and post some pics on here.

Are there any sharing sites that actually work?

Ivor, I was also struggling with photobucket so I now resize the pics individually whilst they are on the Mac desktop and upload them directly to the forum. I've yet to find a way to do this on my iPad though, but then I am rather technically challenged :roll:

Hmmm, thanks. I have tried resizing, but my photoeditor tells me how many pixels or what percentage, but not the mb or kb of the finished article, so it takes a lot of fiddling about.

On my Ipad i use a simple app called Photo Editor, still has some adds but excllent for quick resizing.

The photography types at work use Flickr for hosting photos, not tried it myself though.

I use a free wordpress blog, easy to use and I think allows up to 350MB of photo storage and gives each pic its own 'url' to allow pasting into forum threads.
