Air brick query

1930/40s bungalow with air bricks on three sides - why no air bricks on fourth side and should I retrofit to ensure adequate airflow in solum?

As I understand it the needs used to determine the number and location of air bricks are prevailing wind direction relative to the building and whether the sub-floor space is compartmentalised into discrete spaces. Does the wall with no air bricks abut a kitchen and/or bathroom having solid floors?

Then it's most likely that the sub-floor void is divided into sections using dwarf or sleeper walls that carry the joists. Any such would typically run parallel to the floorboards above and may reflect the positions of some of the internal walls of the bungalow.
