In case the usual suspects on this forum have wondered where I have been recently, it has been rather busy trying to run a business and deal with professional (RICS) matters.
As of last week I was elected Chair of the RICS Building Surveying Faculty. The BS Faculty is meant to be the home of technical knowledge in RICS and there are around 30,000 BS members.
We have a number of issues to tackle both within RICS and outwith, not least of which is what happens regarding HCRs.
I have been reading some of the threads, but not contributing as much as I used to. I dout I will contribute much in future months to come, but I will still be around. In particular, where things happen that affect the world of period properties I will keep you informed, as best I can.
If there are issues that you feel RICS should be looking at please post here and I will hopefully pick them up and consider them. I cannot always promise action, but if I feel there is merit in RICS taking on board issues, comments, etc I will take things further.
Best wishes to all and keep nup the good work.
