After the disasters of early this year when I expressed my exasperation at loosing the dream house purchase, Moo's comment that there will be something around the corner is looking to be true. We are about to instruct on a purchase. It has a tiny fragment of wall painting------

Early 16th c timber frame, near the Holy Mile! (you'll know where that is David with your knowledge of this neck of the woods)!

Not sure about the actual location for a gin slinging incomer,--might have to change to Holy Water,-- but the house is very interesting and it will be a privilege to own it for a while! A previous viewer rejected it on account of the listed status getting in the way of what they wanted to do to it.

More later when things have firmed up a bit.
