Abandon until the spring?

House rendering finished on November 8th (Shropshire).

I’m wondering whether to keep the scaffolding up in the hope of finding a window early/mid-December to lime wash or whether to abandon the idea until the spring. Some parts are still not dry to the touch and cold, rain and (perhaps) snow are coming next week.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

You need temperatures above 5 degrees and preferably 3 dry days after applying (or a way of keeping the rain off) for limewashing.

If the predictions of a “cold winter” are correct that might prove tricky

If you went with a hot lime wash, I believe you can go on sooner, and thicker, so less coats, which means 2 days rather than 4 of application. But more hassle in the prep…
