This is Leanach Farmhouse in Scotland built between 1721 and 1730 and completely restored by the National Trust in 1960.

While further south (Sussex) we have:

This house was built by a prosperous farmer in 1350 using only natural materials that have now survived for almost seven centuries. In 1395 it was bought by the church and over 200 years later, around 1600, the house got its first glazed windows. The house is an oak framed home with wattle and daub infill which is now rendered with lime. It was built as an open hall, with single rooms on two stories either side.

This is the National Trusts very first property and the place of work for my niece. Its alot nicer them some work places.

Today's pretty picture come from Bibury in Gloucestershire.

These homes, built entirely from natural materials, are over 600 years old. The designer William Morris [you'll recognise his work here www.william-morris.co.uk] called Bibury in Gloucestershire, "The most beautiful village in England". The picturesque stone cottages of Arlington Row were built in 1380 originally as a monastic wool store but later converted into a row of cottages for weavers in the 17th century.
