Aren't Caves in France cellars? not real caves with stone axes and similar - m sure on wine bottles it says something like "Bouteilles dans nos caves" - meaning bottled in our cellars - or are french cellars just outbuildings?

I simply must know - I must!!

I wouldn't like to live in a cave at all for all I am an earth sign - took children to White Scar caves in Ingleton at weekend and saw pictures of water cannoning out of cave entrance after a couple of weeks of heavy rain last summer - flooding happens very suddenly - and terminally in underground cave systems

There once was a hermit who lived in a dell,
I swear to the truth of the story I tell,
My grandfather's grandfather knew him quite well,
This hermit.

He lived all alone by the side of a lake,
From berries and herbs his food he would make,
And nought but a fish would the good man partake
On a Friday.

His hair was all matted, and tattered his clothes

One morning he was naked, all dripping and wet,
When this horrifying vision two young ladies met.

But he clutched at the hat and held it real tight,
Just to hide it.

Just at that moment a wandering gnat
Made the hermit forget just what he was at.
He smacked at the insect and let go the hat...
Oh, horrors!

Well now I have come to the crux of my tale.
The hermit turned red, and then he turned pale.
He offered a prayer, for prayers never fail
So it's said.

The truth of the story leaves no doubt at all
That the Lord heard his prayer, and answered his call.
When he let go the hat... why, the hat didn't fall.
It was a blessed miracle, friends!

There is an old Lady who lives in a cave at Watergate Bay between Newquay and padstow - at least in the summer months - She's probably famous - we call her the "Wild white woman of Watergate" (which has alliteration and everything!) because she wears white and she's wild - and she's a woman who lives at Watergate bay.

We see her every year when surfing* there (*edit - falling over in the sea) - we think she lives on mussels when theres an "r" in the month and apparently people leave her gifts of fruit and bread.

Hope Jamie bloody Oliver doesn't scare her away with his new restaurant.

Have photos of her climbing up cliff side and disappearing behind sacking and crate entrance but can't post as scanner playing up

Person who bought has father who lives next door and she has no plans to develop - will leave it as it is!

I can only assume there's no fire fitted in the cave as they can't get it to meet fire regs? gosh only knows how they managed in cave man times?? :shock:
