1989 Adamsez Victoriana Bathroom Suite

Can anyone help me find out about a bathroom suite that I have...it is from Adamsez (apparently not the exisiting company, I am told this original Adamsez folded) and I believe from their 1989 range. The Sink, Pedestal, Toilet and Cistern are all in a fantastic Royal Blue with shell effect and their is a very ornate swirls all over it which are leafed in Platinum. I have the original catalogue but even after spending numerous hours feeding words into Search Engines I cannot find any information on it. I guess above all I would like to know its value as I have never seen a suite like it. It was originally installed in a friends bathroom but never used as their under the stairs bathroom project for some strange reason was never finished and became a store room again just with the inclusion of these wonderful bathroom pieces. This suite also has the with it the taps it used to be advertised with (Regency Taps) and I cannot find any information on these either.

Can anyone help?

Adamsez is alas no more - it used to be in Scotswood in Newcastle. It The firm made quality bathroom wares, many of which were installed in schools and hospitals, all over the north, and also ceramic drains, from the 19th century onwards.

The ins and outs of buy outs etc I can't recall! I'm sure the factory was still going later than the early seventies!

In the seventies and eighties there was a revival of some 19th century patterns (presumably under the aegis of new management) and these were made from fireclay - outstanding quality, very heavy. I know as we had a suite in a previous home (not the coloured ones however). We bought ours arond the early eighties.

Adamsez used to sell what were supposed to be seconds from a warehouse on the Team Valley Trading Estate in Gateshead too, at bargain prices, although I understand that these were actually no different from the stuff sold via retailers, it just cut out the middle man if you collected.

Used to manufacture for Sitting Pretty in London also.

Ours was a sort of fern pattern on the loo and bidet. I loved it and wish I could find another.

It certainly is a shame that the company is no more - it is such a wonderful suite, something that I keep looking at because like I said I have never seen anything like it before. Unfortunately, I have no room to install this suite myself and am thinking about selling it on.....do you know where best to sell these items?
