Hi all, my 1920s property has a gorgeous single glazed front door. Sadly, one of the panes is cracked :-( I have looked everywhere for a replacement, contracted a local glacier but no joy. Does anyone know where I might have some luck in finding the pattern?
THe UV activated glue that is used for windscreen repairs can repair cracks almost invisibly. It might be worth a try. Or you could just leave the crack, I've done that in a couple of my windows with small cracks.
I have that exact same glass in the fan light above my front door. A neighbour recently had there front door and original fan light replaced, I was going to ask for the glass but because their fan light was smaller than mine I thought it was just something I would never use. In all fairness it would have been too small for your needs too.
I am in the midlands though and my house is slightly older than yours so its fair to say that must have been a popular pattern around that time so there is hope you might find something
I think you might struggle - the obscured patterned glass that everyone seems to stock is Pilkington, and that's not one of their current range.
I suspect your options may be limited to either a glue repair or replace all panels with as close a design as you can get. Pilkington Mayflower or Chantilly may be options.
This firm claims to have old stock, antique glass - but not exactly local to the island
